We are a nationwide organisation with over 30,000 members across the UK based in Farnham who due to expansion, are now seeking an Accounts Administrator to join our existing accounts team of 5. The role is supporting the transactional element of accounts and ensuring entries are up to date ahead of month and year end.
To be successful for the Accounts Administrator role you will have proven experience within an office environment working as an accounts administrator or accounts assistant and used to working as part of an accounts team across a varied accounts position. A qualification in accounts is not required for this role but experience working within a similar role, dealing with accruals, prepayments and journal entries is essential.
Paying up to £30K depending on experience, the role will require you to work are 37.5 hours per week Mon to Fri with the potential for one day a week WFH once trained. Reporting directly into the Senior Financial Accountant, you will take control of the Sales Ledger and be responsible for the reconciliation of all Balance Sheet with duties listed below:
• Posting of monthly journals for Payroll, Depreciation, Prepayments & any other adjustments required.
• Responsible for the Fixed Asset Register & Schedules.
• Assist in the production of the Management Accounts for review by the Senior Financial Accountant.
• Complete all Balance Sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly Profit & Loss Schedules.
• Ownership of the Sales Ledger raising sales invoices and liaising with internal and external staff.
• Reporting on National Statistics as & when required.
• Assist the Financial Controller with the preparation of Accounts including all intercompany transactions.
• Assist in finalising the Year End accounts.
• Prepare P11d & PSA information for submission.
• Provide Accounts Payable cover when required.
• Any ad hoc duties required by the Senior Financial Accountant.
To be considered for the role of Accounts Administrator you will have previous relevant Accounts Administrator/Accounts Assistant experience, have good PC skills Microsoft office and happy to work within a small team but be part of a large organisation. Experience of working with Xero is desirable.
