The Electronics Engineer (Customer Support Engineer) job itself involves providing support to our customers on-site and remotely.
More specifically:
* Ensure that our customers have a single point of contact for after-sales support.
* Ensure that customers are keeping all equipment operational and correctly configured.
* Raise all faults/issues and request returns for all faulty equipment for investigation; track all faults to conclusion.
* Assist in the pre and post-visit equipment maintenance and software configurations.
* Record the allocation of units, helping customers to organize spare units.
* Ad Hoc Production duties: Building/assembling mechanical and electronic equipment, use of heat guns, crimping, and soldering pins.
* Support the production team in quality checking/testing products before dispatch.
You will have
To be successful as an Electronics Engineer (Customer Support Engineer), you will have a healthy mix of the following:
* Good communication skills (e.g., concise, clear, timely, and appropriate media used).
* Knowledge and/or experience with electronics/electronic technologies (HW and SW).
* Understanding of Ethernet networks and fibre optic converters.
* Some experience with design of electronics components/design engineering.
* Ability to read engineering drawings (reading wiring schematics would be beneficial).
* Basic working knowledge of multimeters (preferably Oscilloscope).
* Ability to read and write detailed technical reports.
* IT literate in Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Be comfortable travelling to customer sites in the UK and abroad.
* Hold a driving license and a valid passport.

As an Electronics Engineer (Customer Support Engineer), you will enjoy a competitive salary of £35K-£45K PA + Package.
* Monday to Friday: 09:30 plus some evenings and weekends (Paid at a Premium).
* £300 a weekend for a full weekend at events + salary plus a day off in lieu.
