The Pump Servicing Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the regional pump servicing, delivering repairs and refurbishment to process critical equipment.
What you'll do
You will work closely with all areas of the wider business, assisting with analysis and proposals for improvements to a wide range of pumping systems, but mainly pump repairs, servicing, and supplying spares and new equipment.
This work creates huge value for the business and has already allowed us to better understand our pumping catchment equipment portfolio, and some of the challenges this equipment presents. You will perform root cause analysis for failures and subsequent repairs.

You will:
* deliver a first-class safety approach to work
* provide quantifiable savings to OPEX and CAPEX
* deputise for the workshop manager to cover holidays/sickness
* plan and organise day to day work to meet the workload
* liaise with the team and customers
* understand assets and our design standards to provide the best possible service to the customer
* help grow the business from its current turnover of £3.6m to £5m
* cover sites across our whole region
* analyse data to review system performance, leading to robust engineering solutions for each and every repair
* propose robust engineering solutions supported by quantifiable data
* report to the customer base on job progress and cost
* review equipment issues and propose mechanical intervention
* feed back data to the asset database for quality improvements of corporate data
* build and increase in-house machining capability.
What you'll need
* Level 3 NVQ or Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering/Maintenance.
* HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (optional but preferred)
* Experience within the water industry.
* Experience with wastewater and supply pumps.
* A positive attitude that strives to grow individually and as a team member.
* Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
