Workforce Management Lead Job Description: About Our Workforce Management Lead: We are seeking a highly analytical and process-driven Workforce Management Lead to operationalise and optimise workforce management and organisational effectiveness practices at Sage. The role holder will have accountability to evolve all elements of workforce & headcount management, incl. principles, methodology, process, governance, and stakeholder management. To do this we require an individual who can partner cross-functionally and at senior levels within the enabling functions and the business to lead complex workforce & headcount management initiatives, ensure compliance with regulations and laws, foster a culture of accountability, and align workforce management practices with Sage's broader strategic goals and business outcomes. The Organisation Effectiveness team drives change in how we plan and manage future workforce needs, supporting strategic delivery. You'll help shape and embed the new function to ensure the team drives productivity in our workforce. We're key to helping Sage scale and grow. The successful candidate will need to work from our office 3 days a week LI-CR2 Key Responsibilities: Operational Workforce Planning - Manage and track overall headcount across the organization, ensuring alignment with budget allocations and operational workforce plans - Lead the associated governance forums that provide senior leaders with the required information to make decisions on headcount and people related cost - Contribute to the approval process for new hires, internal transfers, and promotions, to ensure alignment with workforce plans and budget constraints - Work with Finance team on the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting - Monitor process adherence for monthly and annual headcount planning / forecasting processes - proactively challenge business areas that are not following process - Collaborate with People & Finance Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to ensure accurate headcount forecasting and budget forecasting - identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives that will further enable this - Drive the required change management and training activities for managers enabling functions colleagues on workforce management processes, procedures, and systems Org Effectiveness Metrics & Technology Enablement: - Be the OE business lead for Digital Services and People Analytics for any technology / reporting initiatives relating to workforce management - incl. vendor selection, providing business requirements, conducting user testing etc. - Ensure alignment across workforce metrics, including headcount, and workforce composition that are being used for day-to-day reporting, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across workforce reports - Analyse headcount data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for optimization. Utilize Power BI dashboards to provide real-time insights and present workforce data and analysis to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions - Identify opportunities to streamline and automate workforce management processes, reducing manual effort, minimizing errors, and improving data integrity Workforce Management Global Process Operational Lead: - At Sage being a Global Process Operational Lead means end to end accountability from the design of rules, data, business processes, technology requirements and performance standards through to on-going delivery, continuous improvement and supporting communications and change (through both a business as usual and ad hoc / transformation projects delivery mechanism) - The role holder would join a broader community of Process Owners & Leads across the People Function - with specific accountability for Workforce Management (incl.
