This position is onsite at the Corporate Headquarters located in Kenosha, WI.

This position will leverage supply chain knowledge and material planning expertise to define and help implement the sourcing strategy for the Industrial supply chain. Focus on sourcing processes; establish, track, and enforce supplier performance metrics; and build strong supplier relationships. Generate significant cost reduction through negotiations, supplier consolidation, e-commerce, supplier-managed inventory, etc. Facilitate communication between suppliers and strategic sourcing/procurement to ensure timely and consistent material flow to meet customer delivery timelines and established business unit objectives. Lead category managers of sourced product and service offerings. Collaborate with Snap-on Tools counterparts as necessary to achieve overall organizational goals.
Responsibilities
KEY TASKS
• Develop the Industrial sourcing strategy and support team. Work cross-functionally to deliver value to the operations and sales organizations.
• Establish and manage supplier relationships.
• Fairly negotiate and navigate through complex supplier and customer contracts in order to achieve results.
• Define a repeatable formula for driving supplier performance, including improved on-time delivery, reduced lead times, lower unit cost, and cost-effective supplier-managed inventory programs.
• Create, implement and oversee the supplier scorecard process to ensure established goals are met consistently. Work with under-performing suppliers on recovery plans.
• Segment the supplier spend, develop commodity strategies, and implement specific tactics to deliver significant cost reduction.
• Drive internal and external process improvement and total cost management through use of RCI or lean management skills.
• Drive appropriate use of technology, including Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs), e-auctions, e-commerce (EDI or other communication/order management tools), etc.

Qualifications
• College degree required. MBA preferred. CPM or other certification preferred.
• 5-10 years experience in purchasing organizations. Demonstrated skills in commodity management, negotiations, agreements, supplier management, etc.
• Proven expertise in supplier performance metrics that will drive improved on-time delivery and reduce total cost of procurement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively within an organization at all levels.
• Able to negotiate and influence others.
• Able to achieve results with minimal supervision.
• Excellent project management skills to drive initiatives from idea to implementation to business process indoctrination.
• Proven interpersonal skills and leadership abilities required to manage staff, lead teams and influence suppliers.
• Timely decision maker, results oriented, accountable for results.
• Energetic. Demonstrated sense of urgency. Committed to continuous improvement.
• Ability to travel as necessary (up to 25% of the time) to meet objectives
