Role Overview
We are seeking to appoint a part-time (0.6FTE) Mental Health Advisor to join our multi-disciplinary, BACP accredited Counselling and Mental Health Service. Our team provides individual and group-based support for students experiencing a range of mental health difficulties.
Responsibilities
1. Providing specialist mental health support to our diverse student community.
2. Managing a varied caseload in a fast-paced environment.
3. Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments.
4. Responding to crisis situations.
5. Tailoring study support for individuals needing reasonable adjustments.
6. Offering training to students and staff.
Qualifications/Experience
* A post-graduate professional qualification and professional registration in mental health (e.g., mental health nursing, clinical psychology, social work, counselling/psychotherapy).
* Substantial post-qualification experience in a relevant setting.
* Excellent relational and communication skills.
