About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team at our Cannington site. This site plays a crucial role in our ongoing expansion and innovation, producing high-quality food products that reach a growing customer base. Following a period of rapid growth, the focus is now on stabilising operations, optimising efficiencies, and enhancing team engagement.
As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will influence and shape the engineering strategy while driving continuous improvement and ensuring the long-term success of the site. You will lead, develop, and inspire a talented team, fostering a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and high performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prioritise health & safety to ensure the well-being of all employees.
2. Develop a culture that supports teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
3. Contribute to the overall site vision and strategy, integrating people, plant, and process development.
4. Provide strong leadership for the Engineering Team, supporting career growth and development through apprenticeships and personal development plans.
5. Identify and lead capital investment projects to ensure sustainable manufacturing capability.
6. Manage engineering budgets and optimise service contracts to drive operational efficiency.
7. Influence best practices and strategic initiatives as part of the Group Engineering Leadership Team.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
1. Proven experience in FMCG with a track record of delivering sustainable improvements.
2. Excellent leadership qualities and the ability to develop high-performing teams.
3. Experience managing and controlling revenue and capital budgets.
4. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, CI techniques, and RCM principles.
5. Experience in delivering medium to large-scale projects from conception to completion.
6. Solid understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental compliance.
7. Engineering qualification (HND/Degree).
