The role Manchester or London (Hybrid working model, 2 days a week office based, 3 days remote) Competitive Salary plus performance related bonus The Customer Engagement Delivery Partner is accountable for leading on and ensuring consistent and relevant messaging is delivered to customers via external committees, forums and other interactive customer engagement channels. They will represent DCC at industry forums and drive improvements in messaging coordination and insight across direct engagement with customers. What will you be doing? Attend and/or facilitate customer committees & forums, acting as the DCC lead representative and managing the end-to-end forum lifecycle from a DCC perspective. Potential committees and forums include DCC led customer forums, SEC Panel and its sub-committees (TAG, TABASC, SMKI PMA, SSC, CTG or the OPSG), Small Suppliers forum and / or RECCo related engagements. Develop collaborative working relationships with both internal and key external customer representatives to ensure greater visibility and input from stakeholders into DCC’s decision making. Use relationships with committee and forum members to create an environment to work through issues as well as generating confidence in DCC. (Customer representatives, Members from SEC sub-committees and SEC Panel, SEC Secretariat (SECAS), SEC Independent Chairs, EUK, etc.). Using key customer insight and working with SMEs and colleagues, support with the development and alignment of messaging for DCC’s key initiatives. Work with SMEs and DCC presenting leads to review all DCC customer messaging ahead of sharing publications to ensure: Messaging is consistent. Presentations and papers are concise, carry a clear message and clearly express the desired outcome or objectives. Industry feedback is anticipated and prepared for. Identify and highlight potential risks, issues and challenges to aid successful navigation of committees and forums, flagging to DCC colleagues as appropriate. Prepare briefings, hold pre-meetings where needed and ensure papers are submitted in advance and on time. Capture and evaluate customer insight, including actions, from external meetings, ensuring this is disseminated to appropriate internal stakeholders to inform future engagement activity. What are we looking for? Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to communicate confidently and effectively with customers and internal stakeholders, especially when delivering difficult messages. Excellent influencing skills. Able to create a collaborative environment (with internal and external stakeholders) and influence how stakeholders work together. Adept at working with, and gaining buy-in at all levels of the organisation, including the Executive Committee. A strategic thinker. Able to transpose DCC’s strategy and complex messages, bring to life and co-ordinate messages, and build an aligned engagement plan to promote collaboration and support. Resilient, tenacious, self-aware and organised, with the flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment, overcome challenges and deliver results against tight deadlines, whilst remaining calm. Able to cope with change and ambiguity. Able to take and adapt to feedback. Strong document writing skills; able to understand and interpret complex messages and transpose them into quality papers and/ or presentations for our customers and stakeholders. Experience of working with external governance arrangements and complex stakeholder environments Skills and Experiences Desirable Experience of working with Government and Industry Regulators and / or in complex governance environments. Customer relationship management / account management experience – well versed in developing key working relationships with external stakeholders and / or customers. Experience in engagement planning, including assessment and determination of the most effective channels and tools for engagement, content development and measuring effectiveness. A strong understanding of the SEC and its committees. Degree or relevant professional qualification.
