What You’ll Be Doing:
* Editing content to the highest standard by ensuring scientific information is clear, accurate, and engaging.
* Proofreading text, tables, and figures, identifying errors, and ensuring everything follows EMJ’s house style.
* Working with the editorial team to meet timelines for upcoming journal issues.
* Participating in the production of podcasts and webinars, bringing ideas to life.
* Supporting colleagues across departments while contributing as an enthusiastic team player.
* Opportunity to contribute to content creation through writing news stories.
What We’re Looking For:
* A keen eye for detail and a passion for editing and improving scientific text.
* Excellent written and spoken English, along with strong computer skills (Excel and Word).
* The ability to manage tight deadlines and handle high workloads effectively.
* Knowledge of Adobe InCopy or audio editing would be an advantage but is not essential.
* An enthusiastic team player who takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
Key Information
* Salary: £26,000
* Hours: 8.30am – 5pm, Mon-Fri
* Working pattern: Hybrid min 3 days in the office (FT in office during probation)
* Reporting to: Managing Editor
* Location: Our buzzing London/Moorgate office
