Area Sales Manager, Wilson Golf

For over a century, Wilson Golf has designed, manufactured and distributed premium and recreational golf equipment throughout the world. Since 1914, Wilson irons have won 62 Major championships, more than any other iron manufacturer in history.
Wilson Golf are in a very thrilling position to offer a specialist Area Sales Manager role representing the Wilson Golf brand, this role will cover the Southwest territory. This will be a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for representing the brand to its fullest.
What You'll Do
An exciting opportunity to join the UK team as an Area Sales Manager for the Southwest region, we are seeking a proactive individual where you will drive sales and distribution to achieve significant sales targets for Wilson Golf, acting as business partner with your accounts. You will build partnerships with key specialty retailers by developing joint plans to serve the consumer that benefit both the retailer and Wilson Golf, fulfilling the following tasks and responsibilities:
* Develop strong trade partnerships
* Build a seasonal action plan to grow Wilson Golf and key specialty dealers’ business with omni-channel focus.
* Build strong joint business and consumer plan with our premium partners that deliver on key strategic objectives of Wilson Golf brand philosophy to maximize consumer experience at the specialty retailer.
* Deliver sustainable distribution growth with wholesale partners.
* Articulate and effectively present the category and brand to customers
* Create and present plans to accounts to develop key categories, drive sell-through, and engaging with consumers.
* Develop our scouting, Ambassador / Influencer program within the territory
* Utilize Wilson Golf trade marketing / sell-through programs / Instore excellence
* Coordinate with the other internal customer contacts and teams, ensuring all points of contact with customers achieve a high standard of customer care.
* Train retail staff and managing / participating in consumer / demo events
* Coordinating yearly consumer and marketing plans.
What We're Looking For
* Ideally 3+ years in a similar B2B selling role with successful account management focus, preferably within the sports industry
* High school level education / degree level of advantage
* Training and support given for technical applications. Solid IT systems and strong MS office, including Excel skills preferable.
* Strong numerical / mathematical skills required, preferably strong experience in data analysis, further training can be provided for the right candidate who demonstrates willingness and aptitude for development.
* High level of business acumen and customer value orientation
* Strong negotiation and solution-selling ability and managing objections
* Excellent verbal and written English skills
* Ability to work flexibly around seasonal business needs
* Living in the area of Southwest, Wales or M4 corridor
* Valid driving license
