Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver engaging and inspiring music lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, incorporating a wide range of musical genres and styles.
* Design and implement innovative curriculum plans that align with the national curriculum and meet the individual needs of students.
* Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to maximize their musical potential.
* Collaborate with colleagues within the music department and across the school to enrich the overall learning experience.
* Contribute to the school's vibrant musical culture by participating in extracurricular activities such as concerts, ensembles, and productions.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest pedagogical approaches and developments in music education.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Demonstrated experience teaching music to secondary school students, ideally across all Key Stages.
* A strong understanding of music theory, history, and performance practices.
* Proficiency in at least one musical instrument, with the ability to teach both instrumental and vocal skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
