There is an excellent permanent opportunity to work within the Data Quality Assurance department within South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust.
The role requires comprehensive, high-quality secretarial support to the Head of Service and senior team members of the Department. The successful candidate will coordinate secretarial services, including preparation of agendas and papers, minute taking, taking follow-up action as required, diary management, drafting reports and correspondence, and supporting in the smooth running of the department.
The post holder is expected to work autonomously, be proactive, and exercise personal initiative and judgment in an efficient manner and can build and maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role will be to provide comprehensive administrative support across the Department. The candidate will need to have excellent organization and communication skills with knowledge of diary management and meeting support, including preparing agendas and papers within required timescales. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is essential for this role.
Experience of working with computer packages including Word, Outlook/Emails, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. is essential along with experience of managing own workloads and working autonomously.
The role is part-time working 28.5 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, days are negotiable and there will also be an opportunity for the role to work agile or office-based.

Qualifications
* GCSE Level (A-C) English Language and Maths or equivalent standard NVQ level 3.
* Shorthand qualification.
* Secretarial qualifications, (RSA Grade III typing or equivalent).
Experience
* Demonstrable experience as a Personal Assistant to senior manager level.
* Computer literate in: Word processing / Email / PowerPoint / Microsoft Office / Databases / Excel or equivalent.
* Experience of managing busy diaries and general office practice.
* Experience of working in a busy office, managing own workloads.
* Experience of working with the public and staff at all levels in an organization.
* Experience of minute taking.
* Understanding and knowledge of the structure and workings of the NHS.
