Care Assistant

Teaching Personnel is recruiting for care assistants to work with one of the SEND schools. This is a secondary provision, providing an alternative setting for those who may not thrive within a mainstream environment. This is a highly inclusive facility, providing education, support, life skills, and care for children with moderate learning difficulties.
The headteacher is seeking a dynamic, dedicated educator who will add value to their school in both academic terms and through involvement in all aspects of school life. The headteacher believes that all support staff are at the forefront of students accessing success and achievement across a broad range of subjects and experiences.
As a Care Assistant:
You would assist and support the care of children within an educational setting. This includes attending to the children’s personal care, administering medication, and ensuring the children are happy and that all their needs are met. You will engage the children in activities set by the class teacher and address the children’s sensory needs. Participation in experiences outside of the classroom, such as school trips, training days, and inset days, is expected.
