Our client is an internationally based travel company specialising in corporate and leisure travel.
They are now recruiting for a Flights Support Consultant to join their operations team.
This is a key role in providing flights and operations support to their travel consultants.
Candidates must have extensive flights, ticketing and fares knowledge with working knowledge of a major GDS.
This is a hybrid-based role - Central London.
Flights Operations Support Consultant Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Supporting the travel consultants who manage corporate and leisure clients.
2. Actioning requests sent over to the helpdesk, such as issuing/reissuing and refunding complex airline tickets.
3. Assist travel consultants with systems such as Concur, Dophone, etc., helping with ADMS and GDS issues in Amadeus and Galileo.
4. Assist new travel consultants with setup and run training sessions.
5. Manage the UK hotel inbox to ensure all emails are distributed.
6. Support advisors with NDC requests.
7. Quality checking advisors' bookings.
Flights Support Consultant Experience Required:
1. Extensive travel experience in a similar support and operations based role.
2. Excellent GDS working knowledge, ideally Amadeus and Galileo.
3. Extensive fares and ticketing knowledge.
4. Good British rail and European train knowledge.
5. Good knowledge of Concur.
6. Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure.
8. Attention to detail.
Flights Operations Support Consultant Salary and Benefits:
1. Base salary up to £40,000.
2. 5% bonus.
