We are seeking an experienced Science Technician to join our secondary school in Pudsey. You will play a key role in supporting the science department, ensuring the smooth running of practical lessons, and maintaining a safe, efficient laboratory environment.

Position Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Requirements:
* Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a school or similar setting is essential .
* Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Responsibilities:
* Preparing and setting up laboratory equipment and materials for practical experiments in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons.
* Assisting teachers and students during practical sessions, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
* Managing and maintaining laboratory stock, including chemicals and equipment.
* Carrying out regular maintenance, cleaning, and safe disposal of hazardous materials.
* Organising and overseeing the proper storage of apparatus and chemicals according to safety regulations.
* Assisting with administrative tasks related to the science department.
