St Wilfrid's Hospice provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care both in the community and at our hospice, supporting patients living with a terminal illness and their loved ones. We aim to transform end-of-life care for the people of Eastbourne, Seaford, Hailsham, Uckfield, Heathfield, and all points in between. As a registered charity, our services are provided free of charge, with 70% of our funding provided by voluntary donations, gifts, and wider activities where our Fundraising and Retail teams have strong connections and participation with the local community.
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a permanent full-time Team Leader in our Community Nursing Team and a Team Leader in our Inpatient Unit for a fixed term of 2 years, working 22.5 hours a week. The Community Team Leader will:
1. Work as part of a multi-professional team providing palliative nursing care interventions for patients and their families across clinical services.
2. Provide clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and allied staff, ensuring effective day-to-day running of Community Services, including Nurse Line, same-day response team, and Care at Home.
3. Support the Community Nurse Manager and the Associate Director for Clinical Services.
The Inpatient Unit Team Leader will:
1. Work as part of a multi-professional team providing palliative nursing care interventions for patients and their families across hospice services.
2. Provide clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and allied staff, ensuring effective day-to-day running of the Inpatient Unit.
3. Support the Head of the Inpatient Unit.
