THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS TO COVER MATERNITY LEAVE.
This exciting opportunity has arisen to work within a dynamic and motivated immunisation team. The post holder will work within the Wrexham and Flintshire Childrens Immunisation Team, with the base being Saltney Health Clinic. This team offers and delivers the immunisation programme to school aged children in various community settings. This position is for a Band 3 Health Care Support Worker who will assist in the delivery of the nasal flu programme.
Main duties of the job
To work as a team member to visit schools and other community settings to deliver immunisations to school aged children. This post will include travelling between sites across Wrexham and Flintshire. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role. The team deliver the nasal flu programme to all school aged children. They also offer all the high school vaccinations to include HPV, DTP, Men ACWY and MMR.

Qualifications
* Good standard of secondary education e.g. min of C grade in English and Math’s
* Working towards QCF level 3 or equivalent in a child related subject
* NVQ 3
* ECDL
Experience
* Experience of working with the public
* Experience of working in a team
* Community or health related working experience
* Experience of working with children and families
* Experience of delivering group work
