Risk Analyst, Risk Management, BANKING Overview: In close co-operation with the Risk Manager, assist in the monitoring and have responsibility for the robust and sound management of the Bank’s risk profile and its overall compliance with the approved risk governance, risk policies, strategies, ICAAP, ILAAP, risk culture and awareness, PRA/FCA’s guidelines and other regulations to ensure that all business areas are aligned with the requirements of the established a robust risk management framework to meet the Banks strategic objectives. To provide an oversight function over the day-to-day risk control, compliance and adherence to the risk appetite established by the governing body to ensure that the Bank maintains at all times adequate capital and liquidity in terms of the approved ICG, LCR, NSFR and ILG with the necessary daily and regular reports/information forwarded to Senior Management and other Bank Committees including action plans, challenges and recommendations to ensure effective implementation of risk management tools including internal systems and controls on a timely basis under both normal and stressed conditions and thus contribute to the smooth functioning of the distributed risk management framework. To conduct ad-hoc tasks as required and assist in the preparation and review of policies, terms of reference, risk reports, ICAAP, ILAAP, RRP, annual report and correspondence to the regulators. Maintain and record the Bank’s incident log, ensuring that they are produced, executed, recorded and then distributed. Main Responsibilities: Produce reports concerning the Bank’s risk management, strategies, processes and controls to relevant committees and senior management. Receive reports from business units concerning credit, liquidity, market, balance sheet and operational risk to oversee risks and aggregate overall risk position to Executive Management. Reporting (pre-notification - post notification) of any violation or excesses/breaches above agreed limits with PRA following consultation with Senior Management and approval of relevant forums within the Bank. Receive/prepare annual reviews for risk policies and procedures manuals for review and recommendations for Internal Audit and Risk Committee consideration, Executive Management Committee, Steering Committee and Board's approval. Help to prepare reports to highlight the impact of the conducted sensitivity analysis on the capital resources requirements (stress tests) and on the overall adequacy of the Bank's capital and liquidity with the necessary reporting and recommendations to ALCO, Senior Management, PRA and governing body. Support the preparation of the annual review of the ICAAP, ILAAP and RRP documents and their relevant base case and stress testing scenarios accompanied with results and recommendations for any proposed amendments to the previously approved risk tolerance for both capital and liquidity adequacies. Provide oversight, validation and challenge of the Bank’s systems and controls in respect of risk management. Help in the development of risk management tools and recommend strategies for managing these risks. Assist in the timely submission of all annual and other periodic returns to the PRA/FCA as required from the Risk function. Maintain and record the Bank’s incident log, ensuring that they are produced, executed, recorded, and then distributed. Carry out other duties as required and directed by the Senior management. Requirements for the role: The individual will have a minimum of three years of applicable experience in a risk-based role in a financial institution – this could be across any discipline - operational risk, regulatory reporting, conduct risk. Preferably educated to an A-Level (or equivalence) standard. Needs to be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Needs to be a good communicator both verbally and in writing, and comfortable with engaging with staff at all levels within the Bank, given the scope and range of the Risk environment. Needs to be adaptable, pro-active, and to be keen to demonstrate initiative
