Future Students Officer (Communications)
1.0 FTE / 35 Hours per week; Grade 5, starting at £25,138.00
Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a passionate and innovative communications practitioner to lead on the development and delivery of a broad range of highly targeted, multi-channel communications campaigns for a variety of key audiences, most notably, prospective students, their supporters and influencers.
What you’d be doing:
You’ll be creating campaign assets for email campaigns, events and social media, and continuously improving your work to ensure impact and good value for money.
You will also develop messaging and positioning according to Strategy 2030, promoting and enhancing awareness of the University’s portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate courses locally, regionally, nationally and globally.
You’ll need to enjoy:
• Being creative: Producing engaging and innovative marketing assets for a wide variety of audiences. You’ll enjoy finding new ways of engaging and inspiring prospective students and their supporters.
• Working with data: Student recruitment is a data rich environment, and you’ll enjoy drawing on data to shape and optimise your work, regularly reporting on the insights you generate.
• Working in a fast-paced environment: You’ll enjoy finding solutions to complex challenges.
• Working collaboratively: This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of colleagues and stakeholders. You’ll enjoy being part of a team.
• Working to your values: We care about how people behave, as well as what they achieve.
Where you’ll work:
In this role, you’ll be based in the Student Recruitment and Outreach Team, on our green campus in the north of Plymouth. This is a predominantly campus-based role, and we expect the post-holder to spend the majority of the working week (no fewer than four days) on-site.
