We are going through a period of expansion and we are looking to speak to motivated and experienced applicants interested in joining our current team as a MAINTENANCE ENGINEER in supporting the site (and potentially our sister company at Horley) in both planned and reactive maintenance. We are leading specialists in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke magnetic shielding solutions and magnetically shielded rooms, and have an expanding customer base throughout the UK, Europe, USA and Asia. With a manufacturing facility in Staplehurst, Kent fully equipped with the latest technology, we are able to provide our customers with the highest level of service and quality. About the role: • Dealing with breakdowns – fault finding both electrical & mechanical issues • Completing routine, regular preventative maintenance (oil changes/water dosing/filters etc) in compliance with relevant regulations and to minimise downtime • Maintaining/repairing machinery on site including deep drawing presses/hydrogen atmosphere retort furnaces/vacuum furnaces • Fault finding as required • Supporting on site services (Fire, water, electricity, etc) • Ordering and helping to manage maintenance stock and spares as required • Liaising with suppliers as appropriate • Full compliance with all safety regulations and standard operating procedures • Supporting various continuous improvement initiatives • Documenting procedures and completing necessary paperwork Essential Skills/Experience: • 3-5 years relevant experience from within a transferable environment with proven track record in industry repairing / maintaining equipment, fault finding & repairs • Mechanical or electrical engineering qualification such as City & Guilds, ONC or HNC BTEC, etc. • Experience of pneumatic operated presses • Experience of pumps/motors/compressors • Strong H&S awareness and experience • IT proficient (experience of Excel/Word) with experience of using bespoke maintenance IT packages • Good organisational skills • Capacity to work at heights, perform manual handling, etc • Team player with strong communication skills, able to establish and maintain effective contact with staff and key suppliers/contractors • Good problem solving skills • Full driving licence required as occasional requirement to travel to Surrey Desirable Skills: • Some experience with vacuum/electric powered furnaces in a production environment would be very advantageous • 18th Edition IEE wiring regulations • FLT licence •Previous experience of TPM We acknowledge that the most valuable aspect of business, is the people, and we are looking to recruit the next generation of our workforce We will invest in your success, is it time for you to join our team and start your journey?
