Deputy Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team at a Care Home in Dudley. This is a rewarding opportunity to enrich lives and create a nurturing community for 35 elderly and dementia residents.
As the Deputy Manager, you will support in overseeing all operations, staffing, and compliance for an intimate, CQC-rated "Good" home. We are looking for an inspirational leader who will champion person-centred care, motivate and develop our care team, and build strong bonds with residents and families.
Job Overview
* Positively support the Registered Manager in providing leadership to the administration and care functions of the service
* Deputise for the function of the Registered Manager during their absence, while supporting the decisions made by the Registered Manager
* Maintain skills at a current level and undertake training and development as required
* Manage the service in accordance with agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations and accepted best practice
Role Specific Duties
* Ensure residents are at the heart of care delivery, with their wishes and preferences enhancing their wellbeing
* Guide and support our care team to maintain high standards of care
* Keep all care plans and resident records up to date and well-organized
* Create monthly staff schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage and skill mix
* Safeguard the wellbeing of our residents
* Lead by example and monitoring standards through regular audits
* Supervise clinical practice and maintain regulatory compliance
* Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff members and healthcare professionals
What we require from you:
* 1+ years management experience in care homes, especially with elderly and dementia
* Level 3 health and social care qualification or equivalent
* Successful track record managing safeguarding and clinical risk assessments
* Passion for innovation, growth, and continuous improvement
* Commitment to CQC regulations and exceeding quality standards

Working Hours
* Monday to Sunday as per rota
