Job Title: Commercial Account Handler

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + 1 day WFH

As they continue to grow, they are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Commercial Account Handler specialising in Mid-Market Risks to join their dynamic team.
The Role:
As a Commercial Account Handler, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of mid-sized commercial clients, delivering exceptional service, and ensuring the best possible coverage for their unique risk profiles. You will work closely with account executives and insurers to negotiate, arrange, and service policies across a wide range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee a portfolio of mid-market commercial clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all their insurance needs.
2. Work directly with clients to assess their risks, develop tailored insurance solutions, and place business with the most appropriate insurers.
3. Manage all aspects of clients' insurance policies, including renewals, mid-term adjustments, policy endorsements, and claims.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and retention. Provide expert advice on risk management and insurance products.
5. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with underwriters and insurers to negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage solutions for your clients.
6. Provide clients with support during the claims process, ensuring timely resolutions and guiding them through complex claims scenarios.
7. Work with the sales team to identify opportunities for new business, proactively engaging with potential clients to offer tailored insurance solutions.
8. Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and maintain accurate and detailed client records.
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial insurance, preferably within the mid-market space, handling a range of commercial risks.
2. Strong understanding of mid-market risks, including but not limited to property, liability, business interruption, and professional indemnity.
3. Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Sound technical knowledge of commercial insurance policies and the ability to apply this knowledge to assess and manage client risks effectively.
5. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive terms and ensure the best coverage for your clients.
6. Highly organised with a meticulous approach to account handling, ensuring all client documentation and records are up to date and compliant.
