Our clients are an Accountancy practice seeking to become a Top 25 in the near future. Due to expansion plans, they are seeking to appoint a Senior Corporate Tax Manager who has excellent experience within an Accountancy Practice.
The Role:
1. Running tax advisory assignments.
2. Supporting Directors on more complex assignments.
3. Completing complicated client tax returns.
4. Managing and servicing clients within own portfolio.
5. Providing technical advice to the team and/or clients.
6. Responsibility for departmental initiatives, processes and projects.
7. Overseeing supervision, training, and development of the team.
8. Liaising and communicating with other departments, clients, and directors to generate business leads.
9. Actively supporting the Tax Associate/Director(s).
10. Working with and supporting the non–Tax Managers and Directors.
11. Maintaining the highest level of technical competence in response to client needs.
12. Supporting the Tax Director(s) with marketing initiatives and providing content.
13. Identifying cross-selling opportunities through networking, attending client functions, and seminars.
14. Involvement in the tax team financials with senior members of the tax team; chargeable time, recoveries, and billings.
General Responsibilities:
1. Involvement in departmental initiatives, processes, and projects.
2. Continuing responsibility for supervision, training, and development of the team.
3. Liaising and communicating with other departments, clients, and directors.
4. Identifying cross-selling opportunities.
5. Supporting the Tax Director(s).
6. Working with and supporting the non–Tax Managers and Directors.
7. Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge by attending necessary courses, webinars, and completing appropriate professional reading.
8. Completing or overseeing complicated client tax returns.
9. Mentoring and supporting Tax Manager(s).

6. Able to complete technical research for Directors and provide summary information on findings.

11. Undertaking CPD in accordance with Institute/company requirements and maintaining up-to-date CPD record.
12. Maintaining high professional standards of conduct and practice.
Knowledge & Experience:
1. Qualified ATT and/or CTA – minimum 8 years relevant tax experience.
2. No ATT Qualification minimum 10 years relevant tax experience.
3. On-the-job experience in corporate tax advisory matters including restructuring, tax due diligence, corporate tax compliance.
4. Preferable, not essential: experience with EIS, EMI options, R&D Tax credits.
