Overview
* Assess and repair historic structures, including walls, ceilings, masonry, and woodwork, while preserving their original integrity.
* Conduct careful restoration of decorative features and finishes in compliance with conservation guidelines.
* Use traditional techniques and materials, such as lime plastering, stonework, or joinery, as appropriate.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and conservation officers to implement restoration plans.
* Provide expert advice on conservation methods and materials to ensure the longevity of heritage assets.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed, including reports and photographic documentation.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in heritage restoration or conservation projects.
* Expertise in traditional construction techniques and materials (e.g., lime plastering, stonemasonry, joinery).
* Strong knowledge of heritage conservation principles and guidelines.
* Ability to work on-site and adapt to varying project needs.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
