Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident, enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within the Audiology Admin Team based at Wellington Hospital.
You will work with a team providing first line contact for patient bookings and enquiries whilst also co-ordinating sub-specialties within Audiology ensuring continuity in achieving excellence in patient care within local and national time frames.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
1. You will be responsible for co-ordinating daily work tasks with members of the admin team to ensure all tasks are completed.
2. Liaise with ERS services to manage choose and book appointments.
3. Takes on leadership of admin workload when Admin Team Leader is off site.
4. Communicating internally and externally with members of staff across all disciplines by face-to-face contact, telephone, written correspondence, or electronic communication.
5. Daily contact with all members of the Audiology team and colleagues across the Trust.
6. Deal with telephone enquiries from patients, including those who may be anxious, providing advice guidance and information to Audiology patients and their carers/relatives about appointments, waiting times and admin processes, including complaints from patients and their families who can at times be challenging.
7. Deal with non-clinical enquiries from hospital staff either face to face or by telephone.
8. Liaise with Trust colleagues in person, by telephone or e-mail.
9. Escalate problems to line manager and senior colleagues.

* Good standard of general education (GCSE and above)
* Word Processing/Typing Qualifications or equivalent experience

* Working knowledge of IMS Maxims
* Previous reception/administration experience
Desirable
* Touch Typing to a high standard and a high level of accuracy
