As a Championship Manager, you will work within our Championship Management and specific event teams to effectively plan, and project manage the delivery of events. You will support the Senior Championship Manager on Tier 1 events and take the lead on Tier 2 and 3 events under the guidance of the Championship Director. While the role is UK-based, you may be required to work in Europe or Asia at certain times of the year, with up to 4 weeks away at any one time, including weekend and evening work.

In this role, you will engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their event requirements, formulate plans, and execute them flawlessly. You will produce detailed proposals covering timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing, and budgets. Researching and negotiating with venues, suppliers, and contractors to secure the best deals will be part of your responsibilities. You will manage and coordinate all event logistics, including venue, catering, and infrastructure, and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to publicise and promote events.
Overseeing all pre-event preparations to ensure everything is in place, you will coordinate suppliers, handle client queries, and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure smooth execution. Leading and managing team members on defined project tasks, you will arrange facilities for car parking, traffic control, security, first aid, hospitality, and media, ensuring all insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations are met. Conducting post-event evaluations to inform future events and exploring opportunities for new clients and events will also be key aspects of your role.
You will lead operational meetings for Tier 2 and 3 events, driving actions and responses to completion, and make operational decisions for these events without escalation. Supporting the Senior Championship Manager in creating and delivering the Operational Plan for Tier 1 events, you will take the lead for Tier 2 and 3 events.
