An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning and Development Officer to work within the Renfrewshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP) Support Team. The post will be part of a small dynamic team who will work collaboratively with partners to deliver key elements of local and national strategic frameworks ranging from prevention & early intervention initiatives to building on the excellent work already underway in developing recovery orientated systems of care. The post holder will be expected to support the complex work of the ADP and be committed to service improvement to achieve positive outcomes for individuals affected by alcohol and drugs. An important aspect of the work will be to ensure the views of individuals with lived/living experience are captured to influence areas of focus for the ADP.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Educated to degree level in an alcohol and drug related subject.
2. Experience of working in the drug and alcohol field.
3. Experience working at a strategic level.
4. Specialist knowledge and understanding of national policies pertaining to drugs and alcohol, particularly drug-related and alcohol-specific deaths.
5. Understanding of evidence-based practice utilizing evaluation and research.
6. Effective IT and communication skills.
7. Knowledge of existing operations within Renfrewshire HSCP/Council.
8. Ability to contribute to the development of strategies/action plans and make recommendations for change where required.
