Our finance team successfully maintain all aspects of the financial operations of the company. We are looking to add a Finance Assistant to this busy team. As a Finance Assistant your responsibilities will include, although are not limited to: Processing purchase invoices against purchase orders, accurately keying invoices to the correct cost centres and GL codes. Escalating any variances, liaising with internal departments and external suppliers Preparation of month end accruals for operational costs and goods received, not invoiced (GRNI) feeding information to the entities management accountants Perform frequent analysis of the P&L to review where costs have been assigned Escalate any unusual costs to Management Accountants to support them with their forecasting Support the Management Accountants with any queries at month end Performing month end statement reconciliations, investigating and resolving any variances Assist with the reconciliation of intragroup trading receivable and payable positions Preparation of payment runs to suppliers, maintain and uphold data integrity around supplier bank details Perform bank reconciliations to ensure transactions are recorded accurately Reconcile key balance sheet account codes for Creditors, Bank etc. Perform foreign currency revaluations at month end for reporting purposes Assist with any other additional internal reporting as outlined by line manager Skills and Attributes Required Finance Assistants will have experience of working in a busy finance team and have ideally been involved in accounts payable. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills and will be able to build efficient working relationships with various stakeholders within the organisation. Furthermore, you should be able to demonstrate: Eagerness to learn and able to work in a fast-paced environment Proactivity and ability and able to show initiative Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics or Business Central (preferred, not essential) Experience working with Microsoft software Strong communication and organisation skills Opportunity for progression is available longer term for a candidate that is keen to learn and exhibits a high level of accuracy and initiative.
