Network Engineer
Salary - £40,000 - £55,000
Bromley, Kent - Onsite full-time, can move to Hybrid-working gradually

We are currently seeking a talented Network Engineer to join our client's organisation based in Bromley, Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small infrastructure team and make a significant impact on our client's IT network.
Responsibilities:
Manage and optimise network infrastructure, including virtual networks, cloud infrastructure, and WAN technologies.
Support backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Collaborate closely with security and infrastructure engineers to prioritise their requirements.
Configure and manage firewalls, routers, load balancers, and switches.
Ensure security and operational updates are professionally deployed following business guidelines.
Troubleshoot network issues and resolve them efficiently to minimise downtime.
Monitor network performance and resolve bottlenecks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in network infrastructure management, including virtual networks, cloud infrastructure, and WAN technologies.
Experience in managing backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Strong knowledge of firewalls, routers, load balancers, and switches.
Proficient in TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, VLANs, load balancing, and VPNs.
Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud services and architectures.
Knowledge of Cisco Switches, FortiNet firewalls, and Dell Servers (including iDrac).
Experience with Veeam and Zerto data resiliency platforms.
Knowledge of Rapid7.
Understanding of ITIL practises.
Ability to automate solutions through scripting.
Experience in planning and testing Pent test remediations.
Knowledge of certificate management.
