MCS Group is proud to be working with a highly reputable company based in County Derry to recruit a Shift Performance Manager.
As the SPM, you will manage the smooth running of the production process, ensuring all products are produced to the specified specifications with Health & Safety as your priority.
You will be involved in the planning, coordinating, and control of all manufacturing processes, ensuring goods and services are produced efficiently and in the correct amounts.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensure that safe work practices are adhered to and acquire knowledge of Health and Safety procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
* Manage development programs, disciplinary & grievance processes, and absence management investigations.
* Ensure all team members are managed according to company policies and procedures.
* Provide leadership and mentoring to the team, including performance feedback and identifying training requirements.
* Execute the shift training plan to improve performance and flexibility, and organize any additional training through gap analysis.
* Facilitate team communications and meetings, providing constructive feedback and regular performance updates.
* Maintain visibility on the production floor, driving team performance and supporting functions to deliver results.
* Manage teams through a recognized appraisal system to develop and drive performance by providing quality feedback.
* Build and maintain positive and professional working relationships with internal and external customers to maximize efficiencies and resolve issues.
* Actively engage with the shift team to solve business problems, leveraging the expertise and talent available.
* Participate and lead key business VCI initiatives.
* Provide updates and identify trends on projects and tasks.
* Monitor and oversee the production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
* Proactively support and contribute to site quality initiatives.
Essential Criteria
* 3+ years of supervisory/management experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
* Experience with WCOM/Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
* Able to communicate and motivate effectively to achieve results.
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Flexibility to work shifts.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable Criteria
* Degree educated, preferably in a manufacturing-related discipline.
* NEBOSH certification.
* SAP knowledge/experience.
