Your new role
1. Lead and manage a portfolio of development projects from inception to completion.
2. Oversee project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and community groups.
4. Ensure compliance with local planning regulations and policies.
5. Provide strategic advice and support to senior management on development issues.
6. Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues or risks promptly.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Proven experience in a senior development management role, preferably within a local authority or public sector environment.
2. Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
4. In-depth knowledge of planning regulations and development processes in the UK.
5. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
