We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our energetic Medicines Information team, which plays a key role in answering medicine queries from prescribers & primary care colleagues as well as supporting the Medicines Optimisation & clinical teams in the Trust. As part of a wider MO team, you will work closely with the medicines safety & clinical teams to provide support, including drug reviews for the Medicines Management Committees. It is essential that you can analyse complex medication information and have excellent communication skills. Ideally, you will have knowledge of how a Medicines Information service runs and have good critical appraisal skills, as well as influencing, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
At this large teaching hospital, you will be involved in education and training of staff. You must work on your own initiative, but also within a team, able to recognise your own limitations. A broad clinical knowledge is essential. As an ambassador of the MO Team which constantly drives safety and quality improvement, you will be encouraged to get involved with research and identify areas for service development and promotion. We are keen for qualified Pharmacists with experience in MI to apply for this exciting opportunity. However, a full training package is available for those with less experience. We want you to contribute to the provision of a high-quality MO service to practitioners at MFT, primary care, and the public in Manchester.
