Air Conditioning and Ventilation Engineer

We’re looking for a skilled engineer to help maintain and improve the HVAC systems for our customers, ensuring their safety, comfort, and peace of mind. You'll work closely with our helpdesk team to manage service and maintenance contracts, maintain KPIs, and provide top-tier customer satisfaction.
Our work is mainly across the commercial sector with the occasional Residential and Industrial environments.
Responsibilities
1. Perform maintenance, repair, and servicing of air conditioning and ventilation systems, in accordance with F-GAS Regulations.
2. Experience or willingness to learn Air Source Heat Pumps would be advantageous.
3. Carry out fire damper testing to ensure compliance with safety regulations BS9999. - Training can be provided.
4. Ductwork cleaning experience is advantageous, but not essential.
5. Maintain and exceed KPIs related to service response times, customer satisfaction, and overall performance.
6. Diagnose and resolve issues in HVAC systems, providing reliable and efficient solutions.
7. Provide customers with professional, friendly service, and ensure high-quality workmanship.
8. Complete all required documentation and maintain accurate service records, using our company software/APP.
9. Work closely with the helpdesk to schedule jobs, update clients, and ensure smooth communication.
10. Provide detailed service reports for the office team, helping them accurately quote remedial works and additional services.
11. Work independently while ensuring work is completed to the highest standard and adheres to regulations.
12. Installation and fault finding experience would be advantageous.
Qualifications/Requirements
1. Proven experience in HVAC maintenance.
2. Preferred experience with fire damper testing and understanding of associated BS9999 regulations.
3. Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on problem-solving and quality.
4. Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule while attending multiple sites across the Southwest.
5. Ensure high standards of service.
6. Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
7. A full UK driving license (travel is required).
8. F-GAS Qualified (Minimum Category 4 – Preferred Category 1).
9. Relevant qualifications (such as NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
10. Experience in meeting and exceeding KPIs and keeping service contracts up to date.
