Job Description:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Ferrybridge seeking an experienced, coded welder/fitter with a background in welding turbines and other associated industrial equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality welding work on a variety of projects, including turbine blades, rotors, and other critical components. Some experience in fitting is also required
Responsibilities:
• Perform welding tasks on turbines, turbine components, and other industrial equipment using techniques suited to high-quality repairs and overhauls.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to complete welding assignments accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure all welding meets industry and company standards for safety and quality.
• Conduct inspections of welded components to verify integrity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and machinists, to achieve project goals.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
• Fully coded welder with certifications in relevant welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding turbines, heavy machinery, or similar equipment.
• Proven ability to work with a variety of materials, including high-strength alloys and stainless steel.
• Strong understanding of welding standards and quality assurance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on producing high-quality work.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience with metal spraying and other advanced repair techniques.
• Familiarity with quality assurance processes in an industrial setting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Experience
