This is a fundamental aspect of the role Take an active interest in, and give commitment to the client Ensure that the environment and service is truly excellent and beyond expectation Promote the client positively to all you come in to contact with, throughout the customer journey Be flexible and adaptable to all tasks or challenges Be highly presentable, accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified or allocated Ensure complete client/tenant/other service provider confidentiality; protecting people and information is paramount Appropriate use of CCTV/access control and any other electronic management system, and completion of reports and documentation in a timely fashion Be familiar with all Security and Emergency procedures on site Ensure that all Health and Safety and Environmental procedures are followed and do not undertake any activity which could breach the SIA or other relevant regulations To support internal and external audit processes from Unitrust Security and/or Client Representatives, the SIA, any other relevant body with a relevant interest and valid reason for inspection or compliance checks To act with integrity and in the best interests of the company and client in a safe, compliant and ethical manner To be resilient to working in the most sensitive environments, always dealing with any conflict with a respectful and empathic approach Assist in the induction, development, or ongoing training of new team members across the disciplines where appropriate SECURITY SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Welcome and assist staff, clients, students and visitors to the premises in a warm and courteous fashion maintaining excellence as a standard throughout the customer journey Ensuring that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas Check identity and credentials of staff, contractors and visitors where required Early identification and mitigation of any threats to persons, premises or property, escalating where appropriate to do so Have an outstanding knowledge of the premises (inside and external) and able to assist staff, clients, students, and visitors with their queries Respond to alarms Record details of any suspected criminal activity on the premises (internal and external); commencing investigative procedures prior to onward reporting where necessary.
