Are you an experienced teacher of early primary education looking for that rare and exciting opportunity to establish something new? The opportunity to frame and impact the culture and learning experiences of children based on understanding child development to enhance their educational experience?
We are Bohunt Horsham, already a very successful new secondary school who, last September, realised our vision of becoming an all through school catering for pupils from their reception year to their GCSEs as we opened to our founding first class.
We are currently recruiting a Year 1 teacher to establish our KS1 offer, a real blank canvas to build upon and as we develop year on year and are interested in practitioners who are keen to share their ideas and individuals who see teaching as a reflective and ongoing discipline. As our school grows there will also be potential for leadership development.
We are passionate about creating a learning environment for children which recognises developmental stages which we have built into our pedagogy. To enhance our growth further we are developing our KS1 as a continuous provision environment.
What is special about Bohunt Horsham?

* A shared curriculum, supportive departments and a cross-Trust network of subject specialists
We are in our sixth year since opening, located just north of Horsham, West Sussex. From our founding Reception class who started September 2024 we will grow to become an all-through school for 1620 students aged 4-16 with a nursery facility by September 2030.
We are part of the supportive and innovative Bohunt Education Trust, a MAT with nine schools including two Sixth Forms and a boarding facility. From February 2025 we will expand to ten schools with the addition of our first primary school to onboard with us. We may be separated geographically, however, all BET schools are student centred, sharing an uncompromising belief in high achievement and unconditional positive expectations, a real sense of community and a dynamic, innovative approach to education.
As a school our ethos is simple: enjoy, respect, achieve, translated to your younger community members as play, care, grow. We value a love of learning and actively promote the characteristics that make lifelong learners such as curiosity, hard work, critical thinking and a thirst for knowledge. We champion values such as empathy, tolerance and kindness that will develop learners who are game-changers, making the world a better place. Our students are empowered and supported to develop life skills such as resilience, confidence and courage, which will help them to overcome obstacles that may stand in the way of achieving their potential.
