The Role
The GCU Entrepreneurial Hub at Glasgow Caledonian University is a dynamic ecosystem designed to support the entrepreneurial ambitions of its staff, students, and alumni. The Hub offers a range of complimentary services aimed at fostering business acumen and innovation. These services include expert business guidance, practical workshops, and networking opportunities, all tailored to help members develop and refine their entrepreneurial skills.
The Entrepreneurial Hub Support Assistant primarily serves as an administrative backbone for the Hub. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth functioning of the Hub's facilities and services. Key responsibilities include:
1. Coordinating the booking and maintenance of workspaces, meeting rooms, and event spaces.
2. Handling enquiries and providing general support to Hub members.
3. Supporting the organisation and facilitation of events, workshops, and networking opportunities.
4. Ensuring that all logistical aspects are covered, from arranging catering to managing guest lists and sign-ins.
5. Maintaining records, managing communications, and updating the Hub's online presence to keep members informed about upcoming activities and opportunities.
By efficiently managing these administrative tasks, the Support Assistant plays a crucial role in creating a supportive and well-organised environment where entrepreneurial initiatives can thrive. This allows the Hub's members to focus on developing their business ideas and connecting with valuable resources and networks.
We are looking for someone with strong administrative experience, excellent organisational and communication skills, and a proven ability to coordinate events and provide exceptional customer service.
