New Opportunity – Stockport Senior Residential Support Workers
We are currently recruiting for 2 Senior Residential Support Workers to join our long established team, motivated to deliver high standards of personalised care in supporting the welfare and development of the children/young people in our care.
The successful candidate will complete shift work in a residential care home providing for both long term care and transition into semi-independent living for children/young people, aged 8 to 17 years with varied Complex Needs, challenging behaviours or Learning Disabilities.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced individual looking to join a dedicated and supportive team within our company in Stockport.
As a senior member of staff, in a hands-on role, you will have relevant experience in working with children/young people, in a senior role. You will be responsible for supervising and leading a staff team on shifts, ensuring that health and safety standards are maintained and that the Home’s policies and procedures and relevant regulations are followed.
In addition, you will be expected to contribute in care planning, risk assessments, reviews and participate in staff meetings. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.
It is essential that candidates hold a Level 3 Diploma in "Children and Young Peoples workforce", or equivalent. In addition, experience in supporting children/young people in a residential setting is essential.
Holding a full driving license is desirable. The position requires that all staff members work shifts on a rota basis. Staff members receive a sleep-in allowance of £50 per shift, the opportunity to join the Company pension scheme and receive a private healthcare package on completion of the relevant probation period.
