Role: Production Manager
Location: West Cumbria
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time, 7am - 5pm Monday to Thursday.

The role:
Reporting to the Head of Operations, this leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence. You will oversee daily manufacturing activities, driving efficiency, enhancing customer service, and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and quality.
A key part of the role involves identifying performance gaps, analysing root causes, and implementing long-term solutions to prevent recurrence. You will leverage both your own expertise and that of the Team Leaders to enhance processes and practices that directly impact business performance.
Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and develop the team to foster a culture of high engagement and performance.
* Champion health, safety, and environmental initiatives, ensuring proactive risk management.
* Maintain exceptional product quality standards and implement corrective actions where necessary.
* Act as a key communicator within your area, supporting operational delivery.
* Set clear expectations for direct reports, providing them with the necessary resources, training, and professional development opportunities.
* Proactively manage team performance, addressing any operational challenges or conflicts in collaboration with HR.
* Drive continuous improvement and Lean strategies, embedding a culture of efficiency and change management within the Value Streams.
* Prepare and analyze operational reports, attending key meetings and escalating issues as needed.
* Work cross-functionally to achieve targets for efficiency, cost control, and on-time delivery.
