In an attempt to bi-pass the first interview and get to the important part of assessing if you are culturally, a good fit for WeDo;-
“What’s the vision for the business?”
Aside from continuing to love what we do, we are hell-bent on continuing to be one of the most respected recruitment agencies out there. An agency known for outstanding service to candidates, clients and the wider industry. Tangibly, to become the most recommended agency in the UK.
“How?”
Firstly, be human and be memorable. Also win the client and not the job. We transact with a select few businesses. Mainly enterprise and fast paced scale-ups who value the 50+years of industry experience the current 4 guys have accrued. We will also expand into new regions and countries imminently.
“Those who have left the business, why?”
Overall, most were not good enough. We will not lower our standards and would rather patiently build. The standard within the room is high and being a start-up, there is a level of accountability which is likely to be higher than what you currently experience. That said, we will also own up to our mistakes and have learned some valuable lessons.
“Commission Structure?”
£0-£10k 10%, £10-£20k 20%, £20k-£30k 30%, £30k+ 40%. Quarterly bonuses also ranging from £2000-£3750. No threshold and to put it into context, one of our guys who has worked in the industry for 9 years has earned more than ever before…for two consecutive years running.
“Benefits and bonuses”
Since inception just over two years back, we have visited Malaga, Palma, skied in St Anton, Chamonix and Courmayeur. Lunch clubs have been labelled “the best in the industry”. There is a company car scheme and wealth management advice is available. Private medical/dental etc.
"Locations?"
Currently Bristol but likely to include a further South West Location - Cardiff/Bath/Cheltenham etc. Thereafter, Australia and/or States.
“What's the banter like?”
Quick witted, self deprecating, humble. Most who interact with us would hopefully say we are positive, energetic, often smiling and relatively loud.
“WFH policy?”
Most guys work 2 days from home per week. General consensus is we all prefer the office.
“Why you over others”
When you sit with others, please challenge them on their track record of doing the job and more importantly, upskilling others to do the job better. No hot air, ask for tangible examples. If you believe they can support your career growth better than us, please go and join them.
Follow us on LinkedIn, come and drop into the office or simply apply. We will always make ourselves available to chat.
