Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with GPhC regulations, managing pharmacy operations, and leading a team to provide high-quality pharmaceutical services. This role requires excellent leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council) regulations, MHRA, and NHS guidelines.
* Handle and resolve GPhC complaints and regulatory issues.
* Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high efficiency.
* Supervise and manage pharmacy staff, providing training and mentorship as needed.
* Ensure the safe and effective dispensing of medications in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy laws, policies, and best practices.
* Lead quality assurance and clinical governance initiatives to uphold high service standards.
* Manage controlled drugs, ensuring proper storage, documentation, and legal compliance.
* Develop and implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to enhance operational efficiency.
* Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to customers, patients, and healthcare professionals.
* Handle NHS contracts and private prescription services.
* Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to ensure the best patient care outcomes.
* Monitor and improve pharmacy performance through audits and staff evaluations.
Key Skills & Requirements:
* Registered Pharmacist with the GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council).
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a pharmacy leadership role.
* Strong understanding of GPhC regulatory compliance and ability to handle GPhC complaints effectively.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Strong knowledge of controlled drugs legislation and best practices.
* Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Strong customer service and patient care skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Proficient in pharmacy software systems and prescription management.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
