Hybrid Recruit are actively recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator with experience working within logistics or supply chain management with a focus on internal fleet movements. Although an office-based role, the ideal candidate will have flexibility on visits to storage facilities, distribution centres, or vehicle locations which may involve working outside standard business hours. Responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator: Transportation Coordination: o Plan and schedule the movement of vehicles, ensuring timely pickup and delivery. o Liaise with customers, service providers & drivers to arrange vehicle movements. o Track and monitor vehicle movements, addressing any delays or issues promptly. o Optimise transportation routes to reduce costs and improve delivery times. Vehicle Inventory Management: o Coordinate with storage facilities to oversee the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of vehicles. o Maintain records of vehicle inventory and shipments, ensuring data accuracy in the inventory management system. Supplier and Vendor Relations: o Communicate with transport service providers and vendors to ensure the timely supply and movement of vehicles. o Negotiate rates and terms with logistics providers and transport companies to achieve cost savings. o Resolve any discrepancies or issues with service providers regarding orders, deliveries, or vehicle quality. Compliance and Documentation: o Ensure all logistics activities comply with vehicle operating regulations. o Prepare and maintain transportation documentation, such as vehicle inspection reports, and delivery notes. Coordination with Internal Teams: o Collaborate with sales, fleet management, and service teams to align logistics activities to meet business requirements. o Provide status updates on vehicle movements and delivery schedules to internal stakeholders. o Address customer inquiries regarding vehicle movement status, delays, or other logistics-related concerns. Problem Resolution: o Identify and resolve issues related to vehicle movement, delivery, or inventory discrepancies and implementing corrective actions to prevent future logistics disruptions. Requirements of the Logistics Coordinator: 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, with a focus on vehicle movement. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems. Knowledge of vehicle transport regulations within the UK. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
