B2B business embarking on a transformation programme and new service offering is looking for an experienced internal communications professional to lead the communications function and employee engagement for an initial 12 month period. They consider themselves a disruptor to the sector and are keen to develop a modern working culture that matches. This role is very much about a digital transformation for communications and modernising how they engage employees.
Responsibilities:
* Advise the CEO and leadership team on internal communications and employee engagement strategy, delivering the plan as well as advising on external affairs – annual report, reputation management, and managing agency providers.
* Work with the leadership team on corporate narrative and messaging for internal and external stakeholders – coach and help define culture approach.
* Audit current communications channels, tone of voice, and strategy; implement an improvement programme and recommendations to modernise.
* Develop leadership visibility programme and employee engagement strategy.
* Lead on transformation project communications.
* Advise on external employer brand work as well as EVP.
* Lead on financial announcements, Annual Report, and any crisis communications with support from agency.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must have previous internal communications experience and demonstrate where they have put in place new channels and modernised approach. Ideally within the technology sector or, if not, B2B where they have led a progressive digital transformation and introduced new channels. Also, demonstrate experience of advising on external relations and working with agencies.
Additional Information:
Flexible working is 1 – 2 days a month in the office. It is a contract role, so ideally notice of 1 month or less.
