National Grid is hiring a Programme Specialist for our Global Technical Training Centre of Excellence. This is a hybrid role based in Eakring 2 days a week.
As the Programme Specialist you will oversee the successful implementation of apprenticeship programs within the organization, ensure apprentices progress effectively, maintain compliance with standards, and provide necessary support to apprentices throughout their program journey.
Key Accountabilities
* Monitor and facilitate apprentice progression to ensure they meet program requirements and milestones.
* Ensure strict adherence to apprenticeship standards, policies, and regulatory requirements to maintain program compliance.
* Provide effective line management and supervision of learner reviewers, overseeing learner review processes, and ensuring compliance.
* Conduct regular sampling of apprentice portfolios to assess evidence quality and completeness.
* Perform comprehensive observations of apprentices in various contexts (on/off job learning and internal/external training) and provide constructive feedback.
* Manage the Onefile portfolio system for apprenticeship participants, including ownership, management of feedback, and marking of assessments.
* Conduct audits of progress reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to program requirements.
* Manage and provide leadership to the Trainee Development Assessor team, ensuring effective performance and adherence to organizational goals.
About You
* Proven experience in managing apprenticeship programmes, preferably in the utility or related industry.
* In-depth knowledge of apprenticeship standards, and regulatory frameworks.
* Excellent communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Team management experience.
What You'll Get
A competitive salary between £46,000 – £55,000 – dependent on capability.
