Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic qualified Family Therapist or CBTTherapist to join the West Norfolk Youth Service, based at Thurlow House in Kings Lynn. This is an innovative service offering assessment and treatment of young people aged between14 and 25 years with a variety of complex mental health needs. Therapeutic modalitiesoffered within the service include CBT, ACT, MBT, family therapy and EMDR. The post holder will have experience in a CAMHS or related setting. You will have excellent therapeutic skills, cultural competency and be able to be responsive and flexible in working with young people. We have good links with other Child and Family teams based within West Norfolk and there would be opportunities for linking with other therapists of the same discipline as part of the role. Main duties of the job You will be asked to undertake mental health assessments of young people; evidence-basedpsychological interventions in line with your professional qualification and contribute to the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will work within the team, working with young people and their families and manage a caseload which will include care coordination and multiagency working. You will offer specialist consultation and support to professional colleagues, working as part of a diverse multi-disciplinary team including psychologists, mental health practitioners, psychologicaltherapists, psychiatrists, and assistant practitioners. Family Therapist candidates will have completed an MA/MSc Systemic Family Therapy and have registration with UKCP as a Systemic & Family Psychotherapist. CBT Therapist candidates will have accreditation with the BABCP as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist.
