Duties of the Social Worker:
* Provide supervision and support to foster carers, ensuring the well-being and safety of children in their care.
* Conduct regular home visits and assessments to monitor the quality of care provided by foster families.
* Collaborate with local authority child care teams to coordinate services and support for foster placements.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to foster care.
* Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
* Advocate for the best interests of children and promote their emotional, physical, and educational development.
* Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, legislation, and National Minimum Standards.
* Support foster carers in managing challenging situations and providing a nurturing environment.
Skills and Experience:
* Ability to build positive relationships with foster carers and children.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
* Degree or equivalent in social work
* Current Social Work England registration
* Significant frontline experience in Children’s Services
* Experienced social worker with a background in safeguarding and fostering.
* Strong working knowledge of fostering regulations and legislation.
