Technical Skills Coach – Engineering
Daily Pay GBP130-GBP140 per day
37 hours per week, Term Time Only
As a Technical Skills Coach – Engineering, you will be required to induct, coach, review, mentor, monitor and track learners on apprenticeship programmes, on employers premises, on-site at the college and working remotely. The post will involve contributing to the delivery, assessment and progress of learners on their apprenticeship programmes to ensure they have the appropriate skills for a life of work.
The post holder will be expected to deliver apprenticeship standards and will be responsible for coaching learners to achieve skills, behaviours and knowledge to pass their apprenticeship to a distinction level wherever possible.
The Technical Skills Coach – Engineering will maintain a caseload of apprentices using an online e-portfolio system.
The College provides high-quality education & training for school leavers & adults, offering a wide range of vocational study programmes, Apprenticeships & degrees.
Responsibilities of our Technical Skills Coach – Engineering:
1. Providing appropriate support, information and guidance to a caseload of apprentices
2. Delivering coaching, mentoring, teaching, learning and assessment on apprenticeship programmes to meet the needs of employers and apprentices to the standards set by awarding bodies and end point assessment organisations
3. Regularly reviewing and monitoring apprentices progress
4. Ensuring that relationships with employers are excellently maintained and they uphold their requirements as an apprenticeship employer
5. Individualising programmes to meet the diverse needs of employers
6. Embedding Maths and English into everyday delivery
7. Participating as a full member of the delivery team and contributing to the development, promotion, high-quality delivery of programmes
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
8. Hold Right to Work in the UK
9. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
10. Provide two professional child related references
