Job Description
1. Build strong business relationships through the provision of excellent service and support to line management on a wide range of HR issues.
2. Advise line managers on policy and procedures.
3. Participate in the conduct of disciplinary/grievance investigations.
4. Develop recruitment strategies in consultation with the Head of HR and HR Director as well as researching the appropriate media for the most effective solution to meet business requirements.
5. Conduct interviews as part of the selection and exit processes, providing candidate feedback to managers and internal candidates as appropriate.
6. Design and write training material and deliver bespoke courses to meet the needs of the business.
7. Source appropriate, cost-effective development solutions to meet needs identified with the corporate plan.
8. Build and manage relationships with external providers, negotiating on contractual terms and ensuring the quality of service and cost-effectiveness.
9. Manage the development and maintenance of the HR sections of both the Internet, particularly recruitment; and Intranet sites.
10. Participate in developing departmental goals, objectives and systems and work proactively to continually improve the quality and timeliness of HR departmental processes.
11. Model enact Values in personal work behaviours, decision making, contributions and interpersonal interactions.
12. Support and contribute towards general HR department activities as required.
13. Ensure employee records are maintained.
14. Contribute to ongoing HR initiatives and projects as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'HR Officer' should have:
* Be currently in a HR Advisor/HR Officer/HR Assistant role.
* Ideally from a Professional Services/Contact Centre fast-paced environment.
* Proficient knowledge of labour law and HR best practices.
* Strong ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business needs.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Proven experience in Human Resources or similar role.
* Ability to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
* Ideally CIPD qualified.
