An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the mental health dietetics team in Derbyshire. This post is open to existing Band 5 or 6 Dietitians with a desire to specialise in mental health.
The postholder will provide a specialist dietetics service to our mental health inpatient units alongside multi-disciplinary teams. You will gain experience working in a variety of inpatient settings within working age and older adults. Typical dietetic referrals include nutrition support, disordered eating/eating disorders, weight management, and diabetes. In addition to clinical work, you may deliver staff training and contribute to service development projects. You will be supported by a small, friendly team, committed to ongoing training and CPD. We are a placement provider for student dietitians, and you will be involved in student training.
The post will be based at Kingsway Hospital, Derby, but requires the ability for weekly travel to Chesterfield sites. We cover wards at Walton Hospital and the Hartington Unit, so the post could be part based in Chesterfield on request. Travel time and expenses to Chesterfield (or Derby, if post is part based in Chesterfield) are included as agreed with your line manager and Trust Policy.
Please answer all ADDITIONAL application questions in detail to maximise your opportunity for shortlisting based on meeting essential/desirable criteria.
