About the Role - Fairhurst is excited to announce that we are expanding our team in Newcastle and are on the lookout for a passionate Senior Planner. As a leading planning consultancy, we work with an impressive range of public and private sector clients, providing expert advice and securing planning permissions for high-profile development projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with clients to understand their planning needs and guide them through the planning process.
* Lead and manage a vast range of projects and clients.
* Prepare and submit planning applications, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
* Work on Planning projects in various regimes, such as Marine, Environmental, Renewable and Major Infrastructure.
* Engage with stakeholders, local authorities, and communities to advocate for projects.
* Conduct thorough assessments to support Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
* Manage EIA projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to standards.
* Stay current with planning legislation, policy updates, and best practices in the field.
What We’re Looking For
* Relevant qualifications in planning and at least 3+ years’ experience
* Preferably Chartered with the RTPI
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
* Work and mentor junior staff
* Experience in planning consultancy or EIA management is desirable
* A commitment to sustainability and responsible development.
